The Mercenary Order of Starlight Paralegals is a guild of itinerant amazonian lawyers, travelling from sphere to sphere to adjudicate interplanar lawsuits, defend or prosecute the most unusual and monstrous of defendants, and arbitrate metaphysical contract disputes. They are recognizable from their heavy darkmatter briefcases—whose space-warping properties enable an entire legal library to be contained within—and their red umbrellas, the symbol of their order, no two of which have quite the same properties. Indeed, each Starlight Paralegal is themselves unique, except for one thing: all have left behind someone they care about in order to pursue the higher calling of the Cosmic Law. This fills you with pride, but is it tinged with regret? or gratefulness?
