Notes from the Laboratory of Dr. Crenobald Tunk, Wizard
A downloadable generator
In life (and for some time more in undeath), Dr. Crenobald Tunk, Wizard, was the foremost expert on the art of chimera-making. The basic methods—combining the morphogenic essence of several creatures, and carefully refining out undesired qualities—was perfected in Tunk’s laboratory centuries before the approach gained popularity among the wizarding community. Alas, the practice was forbidden by the nations of the Shimmering Alliance through the Treaty of Hope, and much of Tunk’s research findings were forgotten or actively destroyed during the so-called Era of Peace that followed.
The time has come to restore the historical and scholarly record. For the first time, the following presents a selection of tried and tested methods gathered from Tunk’s published papers and books. Additional material comes from Dr. Tunk’s nachlass (currently held in the Maximum Security Rare Books Room of the Gravnackk University Libraries), and from reconstructed fragments retrieved from the charred remains of Dr. Tunk’s deep-sea laboratory annex. The editors (those who survived the publishing process, anyhow) are thrilled to present what is sure to be an instant classic in wizardly science across the Empire.
This project was made possible through a generous grant by the Empress of Dread’s Scientific and Magistical Research Council, grant number 666-X-1313. Long may She reign!

This download contains a series of tables for generating a monster concept. Depending on your game system of choice, you might be done at that point. Or you might have more work to do.
