Haunted Armour of Penelope Black

Dame Penelope Black was the greatest knight of her generation, besting the champions of all nobles, monarchs, and imperials, but never swearing fealty to any one person or land. Her one weakness, all would agree, was her profound over-attachment to those she loved. When Dame Penelope took a new lover, she would be perpetually by their side, never leaving for any purpose. This vice led all her lovers to spurn her eventually, and she died without ever settling down as she so longed to. Her spirit still lingers in her magical suit of armour—the only thing that got that close and never left her—yearning for a permanent companion. 

This is a magic item for 5e. It is an enchanted suit of plate armour with some powerful special abilities, and a curse. (The curse is a clingy ghost knight gf.)
